Lawson Digital Arts and fantasticuniverse.com aim to help kids learn English, Spanish and French with SuperRace, an innovative 3-D animated driving adventure now available on DVD at Amazon.com
Valencia, CA (PRWEB) September 23, 2007 -- Lawson Digital Arts is proud to present the new DVD SuperRace, an educational animated video for kids, now available at www.amazon.com .
SuperRace is a 3D animated odyssey of sweeping vistas and wonderful new friends. This exciting, non-competitive and non-violent journey will have the entire family learning words and numbers, shapes and colors in three languages: English, Spanish and French.
In SuperRace, fanciful Blue, Green and Red cars, start from a garage and encounter numbers on billboards, the desert of letters, shapes and tumbleweeds, dinosaurs, trains, an underwater adventure and much more including heavy equipment, airplanes and a beautiful cascade of colorful petals. In the end, the three cars cross the finish line to a welcoming celebration of fireworks before settling in to a quiet nights rest back at the beginning.
From the starting line to the fantastic finish, SuperRace is perfect for boys and girls ages from 1 to 6 and more. This music filled adventure is sure to delight and educate growing young minds. The DVD features a special director and producer commentary track on the making of SuperRace, several fun easter eggs to find, and even a special loop mode for busy parents.
"Independent film-making and the improvement of technology now allows a single animator to have the look and production ability of an entire team or company," said Joseph Lawson, producer of SuperRace. "The independent 3D production was animated entirely at home on one computer by video author and animator Daniel Peters. Now, with services like Amazon's innovative Createspace.com, filmmakers and animators can get their DVDs to the public in a way previously only available through traditional distribution methods."

ABOUT AUTHOR
Growing up on a farm in the Midwest, Daniel "Uncle Dan" Peters discovered at an early age that he was a fan of storytelling in all forms. Writing, crude paper and stop-frame animation on a Super 8 Film Camera and drawing comic strips grew from interests into hobbies and into career goals. His introduction to computer animation in the form of the movies "TRON" and "The Last Starfighter" charted a course he has followed for over twenty years.
Attending "The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art" in Dover, New Jersey, Dan studied drawing, comic book illustration and classic 'Disney Style' hand-drawn animation. From there he went on to work in the video game industry heading to the other side of country, California. Then it was a short jump to computer animated television shows, commercials and feature film work.
In his 'spare time' Dan produced SuperRace, working evenings and weekends on the animation. His computer rendered frames 24 hours a day for almost 18 months. A labor of love and enjoyment, the show was produced on a single computer in his living room including the music tracks and video editing.
