Award-winning artist Ted Ellis releases Historical Civil Rights Collection Edition at the 37th Annual Legislative Conference of the Congressional Black Caucus in Washington D.C. on September 26-29, 2007.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) September 23, 2007 -- Houston-area based artist, Ted Ellis (http://www.tellisfineart.com) releases his Historical Civil Rights Collection Edition entitled, "Civil Rights Series I", at the 37th Annual Legislative Conference of the Congressional Black Caucus in Washington D.C. on September 26-29, 2007. The series includes three originals: "I Am A Man", "Equal Rights For All", and "One Man One Vote".

Limited edition prints of the three images will be sold as a suite, with only 63 sets available to commemorate the 1963 March On Washington. Each limited edition print will be signed and numbered. The "Civil Rights Series I" Collection Edition pre-order price will be $675.00 during the conference. Pre-orders are also available online at the T. Ellis Fine Art website. Orders will be shipped in mid-October. Ellis will be exhibiting in the Marketplace Pavilion at the conference and will additionally feature original paintings with civil rights and political themes.

Proceeds from the sales of the series will benefit the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation and the Tom Joyner Foundation. The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation creates, identifies, analyzes and disseminates information critical to advancing African Americans and people of African descent towards equity in economics, health and education. The Tom Joyner Foundation provides financial support to Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) for the purpose of helping students complete their education.

During the month of October, original paintings by Ellis will be showcased at the Sylvan Gallery in Charleston, SC. For more information, view the Sylvan Gallery website.
