Ergotron Rewards Customers Who Use StyleLink™ Battery Management Software Implementing Improved Warranty for StyleView® Batteries

Ergotron, the global leader in computer and video display mounting equipment, is pleased to announce it is extending the warranty coverage on batteries that come standard with powered StyleView Carts. The new warranty is in effect for any StyleView Cart built on or after August 1, 2007.

The new warranty is in effect for any StyleView Cart built on or after August 1, 2007.

With the new warranty, the battery's performance is covered for up to one year from date of purchase for those customers who have installed and use Ergotron's StyleLink battery management software.

StyleLink software is free to all StyleView customers. This advanced yet simple-to-use program enables an IT department to proactively monitor the cart's power system performance from an onboard or remote computer. IT personnel can even get history logs and trend reports to help troubleshoot system difficulties should they ever arise.

Additionally, the software automatically sends an email to a designated IT person when it is time to plug-in the cart or if the battery needs to be replaced. This means users can manage their down time and maintenance versus having the battery hit its end of runtime or end of life without notice or warning. This simple step ultimately extends the battery life and improves field performance of the StyleView cart.

StyleView powered carts carry a five (5) year warranty. The power system carries a two (2) year warranty, up to one (1) year for battery performance, and six (6) months against battery manufacturer's defects in North America and Asia, and two (2) years against battery manufacturer's defects in Europe. The battery's warranty for those customers who choose not to use StyleLink remains the same at 90-day coverage.
