Myers Park Mortgage Receives NCAMP Accreditation for Best Practices, High Ethics

Myers Park Mortgage has become the first North Carolina lender to receive the Accredited Lender® designation from the NC Association of Mortgage Professionals (NCAMP).

CHARLOTTE, NC - October 10, 2007 - [REVISED - Myers Park Mortgage has become the first North Carolina lender to receive the Accredited Lender® designation from the NC Association of Mortgage Professionals (NCAMP). This designation is granted for 12 months, with annual renewal requirements.

First announced in 2006, the new NCAMP North Carolina Accredited Lender Program requires applicant firms to stringently document internal programs and best practices, which are reviewed and approved by a peer committee. Myers Park Mortgage dedicated hundreds of person-hours to formally document meeting these requirements and became the first mortgage lender in the state to be recognized in this pivotal program.

The application and qualification process for accreditation requires both brokers and lenders to implement best business practices, an ethics program, fair lending policy, privacy and security policies, as well as quality control and dispute resolution programs. In addition, each lending officer within the accredited organization annually must complete 12 hours of continuing education.
