Moraga Ranch Swim Club Reopens with Facilities Rebuilt by Swan Pools Contractor

The Moraga Ranch Swim Club recently reopened after a 2 ½ year project made possible by Swan Pools contractor Steve Santoro.

Moraga, CA (PRWEB) September 23, 2007 -- The Moraga Ranch Swim Club recently held its grand re-opening celebration with more than 350 people in attendance, including club members, neighbors, contractors and local officials. The contractor for this project was Steve Santoro of Swan Pools.

Their rebuilding project took 2 ½ years to plan, but the rebuilt facility now has an impressive list of new features. The added features include a six-lane pool and equipment, shade structures, timing system with digital score-board, sound lighting system, Trex Decking, viewing area, upgraded restrooms, pump houses, sprinkler system, barbecue area, fences, concrete decking and pool furniture.

The project started out as a simple discussion about replacing an aging five-lane pool. It grew into a major remodeling effort, though, which took well over two years to plan and required extensive work for the renovations. Club officials attribute much of project's success to the professional conduct of Swan Pools contractor Steve Santoro.

When members of the club, founded in 1963, first began to examine the feasibility of replacing the pool, it was a daunting challenge. It is one of the smaller clubs in the Lamorinda community. Among the many challenges, members had to decide on a contractor, find a lender for a loan, deal with multiple permit issues without issuing an assessment, manage club finances carefully and install a volunteer project management system.

With a planned start date in September, 2006, the reality of managing a large project of this type hit home. The club finally broke ground in late January, and on every weekend from that point forward, five to 25 volunteers of all ages could be found working on any one of a dozen or more tasks on hand eight to 10 hours a day.

Not only did the club exceed its own expectations, but it also came in on time and on budget. Club officials said contractor Steve Santoro of Swan Pools could not have been any more professional, thorough and dependable from day one.
