Spoken Impact Helps Gephart Electric Hit a Home Run

Representatives from Spoken Impact were pleased to announce their role in assisting local Saint Paul firm Gephart Electric win the main Electrical Contractor agreement for the new Twins Ballpark. The multi-million dollar stadium contract is a significant achievement for Gephart, who engaged Spoken Impact to help create a unique and memorable experience for the final presentation to the Twins' Ballpark panel. Spoken Impact is a local Minneapolis-based firm that develops custom presentation content for businesses and provides coaching for speaking engagements.

"We were delighted to get the news," said Larry Heinsch, Vice President of Gephart Electric. "It's a major accomplishment for Gephart. Obviously our longstanding track record of outstanding service was a major key to winning the business. But Spoken Impact really showed us how to present our strengths in a cohesive and creative way to the panel. I think working with Spoken Impact really gave us that extra bit of competitive edge we needed."

In less than two weeks Spoken Impact developed a creative concept that focused on baseball and teamwork. During the final presentation, members of the Twins Ballpark decision-making committee were presented with distinctive, baseball-themed visuals. These visuals introduced an interactive element to the presentation and served as a memorable tool to support Gephart's message. In addition, the Gephart Electric presentation team wove personal baseball stories and analogies into the presentation content.

"We knew Gephart needed a unique, compelling presentation to win the business," said Joan Moser, founder of Spoken Impact. "We were able to personalize the pitch so the strengths of the company were highlighted as well as the experience and integrity of Gephart's individual key players. The creative concepts added some humor and fun to the process, which I think the panel really enjoyed."

Gephart Electric will begin working on the Twins Ballpark on September 24, 2007. The contract will be in effect for the next two-and-a-half years and is worth approximately $30 million.
