The walk will start at the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal, located along the north bank of the Potomac River in Washington, DC and continue through Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland. C.O.P.S., organized in 1984, is dedicated to rebuilding shattered lives of the surviving families. C.O.P.S. also promotes officer safety and public awareness of the dangers in the law enforcement profession and the sacrifices made by law enforcement families.
