RFID consultant and integrator Rush Tracking Systems has made two strategic hires, aimed at meeting aggressive sales and global expansion goals.

"Flush with experience going back to the early days of RFID software and hardware, Chuck Thompson and Rocky Williams bring a wealth of expertise and leadership to our team. As we continue to grow rapidly by bringing on new customers and scaling our existing client's deployments nationally and internationally, having a strong management team is critical to our success" said President Toby Rush of Rush Tracking. Rush Tracking has enjoyed remarkable momentum, enjoying 250% sales growth while maintaining profitability in 2006 with 200% growth expected in 2007.

Chuck Thompson will join as VP of Sales, bringing 17 years of sales experience from Rockwell Automation, ConnecTerra and BEA Systems. Thompson was Sr. Director of Sales for RFID Startup ConnecTerra where he was responsible for bringing in their first customers as well as 80% of their overall sales. After the successful sale of ConnecTerra to BEA Systems, Thompson stayed on as Director of Market Development, RFID where he delivered similar sales leadership and performance. Rocky Williams will be Director of Deployment and Support Services. Rocky brings with him five years of high-level implementation experience with Matrics, Symbol and Motorola.

"Toby and the team at Rush Tracking Systems have really focused on building brand trust in the marketplace by delivering successful projects to a sizeable list of marquee accounts" said Thompson, who feels Rush Tracking has tremendous market momentum. "Their process and technical strength along with the character and integrity of the team attracted me to the company. Their brand trust and the ability to execute and capitalize on growth opportunities in industrial manufacturing, DoD, retail, supply chain, pharmaceutical and other verticals sealed the deal for me to join the team."

Rocky Williams is equally enthused to join the team. "It's a great opportunity for me to contribute to a group that has a strong implementation team in place, and the chance to continue to build a world-class deployment and support services organization."
These strategic hires continue a year of momentum for Rush Tracking. In September, the company entered into a partnership with OATSystems to deliver turnkey asset tracking solutions for industrial, automotive, and aerospace manufacturing companies. In June, Rush Tracking and RFID Global Solution formed a strategic alliance wherein the companies develop active, passive, and global positioning system-based RFID solutions for Fortune 100 companies in consumer product goods, aerospace and defense, manufacturing, life sciences, and government sectors.

The Fortune 1000 is where Rush Tracking is focusing in 2007, and Toby Rush sees these hires with their enterprise expertise as key to that strategy. "We've got strong talent on board to begin with," says Rush, "These two men are strong additions and will help us build out our sales and global deployment services. I continue to be very excited about the caliber of our team. Our expertise and experience are unmatched."
