Time4sharing.org's Mascot Arrests Santa at Charity Event in Slovakia

Timeshare charity promotes goodwill in Slovakia for children that matter.

Bratislava, Slovakia (PRWEB) January 4, 2007 -- Children in a Slovakian orphanage were recent witnesses of Santa being arrested in the name of good fun for charity. Volunteers from the timeshare charity movement Time4sharing.org, organized an afternoon full of games and fun for children from orphanage in Podunajske Biskupice, Bratislava, the nation's capital.

A showdown of the three typical Christmas characters in Slovakia, a Devil, an Angel and Santa was all the children had anticipated. Moments after they were being enchanted by their arrival, the heroes of Christmas were upstaged by a Kangaroo. Boomerang, the happy kangaroo and mascot of Time4sharing.org charity, made a surprise visit, to arrest Santa.

In order to be released, Boomerang convinced Santa that the children deserved more presents than Santa had prepared and ordered another load be delivered... The children roared when another load was brought into the festive room.

It was all in name of fun for the kids on hand, who cheered in the event sponsored by Time4sharing.org, a timeshare charity with a difference. Christmas is celebrated in the mainly Catholic country twice as many Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas on the 6th of January.

The famous Kangaroo mascot of the charity, Boomerang, then played games with the children of lesser fortune during the whole event together with Santa and a Christmas Angel helping Santa to pass out superb treats.

Slovakia, a new member of the European Union, has a long way to go to meet the needs of its underprivileged children. Time4sharing has launched over 10 events and awareness campaigns in the past four years in Slovakia, with support from the presidential palace. In Slovakia earlier this year, the First Lady, Mrs. Silvia Gasparovicová was named by the International movement as Goodwill Ambassodor for 2006. Her support and encouragement to empower children in educational projects and supporting the charities work contributed to the selection. The charity has also taken on projects with the United Nations in Lebanon to support Trees instead of Landmines and has cooperated with Unicef, Sos, Special Olympics and hundreds of orphanages.

At this event in Slovakia, special games were prepared for children from all age categories, from one year old to teenagers. None of them could resist the fun -- participating in competitions for prizes, face painting and creating a giant Christmas canvas by all 35 children, making it a work of art, love and unity as part of the charities' United Hearts for United Smiles Campaign.

After that, the time for dreams and wishes followed. The children wrote their Christmas wishes on a small piece of paper and put it into a helium balloon. After all the wishes were prepared, the kids went outside the orphanage and sent all balloons toward the heavens, so that their wishes might come true. "It was magic for them really, very, very wonderful, in fact," said one volunteer.

Volunteers from Platinum International, American-Institute.sk and WorldClass.sk were on hand to share the joy. The charity movement has one mission: to raise awareness in every community where timeshare professionals live and work to empower unfortunate children with thrilling fun days throughout the year. Earlier in December, Time4sharing orchestrated a similar event in Slovakia's second largest community, Kosice.

Two more events also took place in Beirut, Lebanon, in the aftermath of a recent war and political strife before years end. Time4sharing was received in the Palace of the President, and sang carols with the First Lady, Mrs. Andree Lahoud along with Time4sharing.org kids club to over 500 children. In its over 6 years of operation, the timeshare charity has empowered more than 12,000 kids from 15 countries with special fun days." Our aim is to Raise Awareness and Fun, not funds, for underpriveleged children wherever we can," one spokesperson said.

Volunteers in Malta, whereby the charity organizes its annual Lonely Toys campaign through its Platinum International Christmas supporters, were also ringing 'Bells of Hope' for children that matter.

The charity has a message encouraging every member of every community to spend and share valuable time with children who have not been blessed with physical, mental or social advantages not only at Christmas, but throughout the year.

"The gracious support of the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association added a tremendous boost to this years annual holiday events," added the Time4sharing spokesperson.
