Gysgt U.S. Marine Corps Retired, Turned Author
Guerrilla Marketers' Cafe announces its January Featured Author; an author who preserves history.
Wilmington, NC (PRWEB) January 5, 2007 -- Serving our country wasn't enough for a retired U.S. Marine, preserving history for the next generations was next on his agenda. Who said research is pointless? There is a wealth of material one can research and transform into a book of great interest and contribution for local history preservation and that is what Jack Robinson has done. His book, "Captain Otway Burns And His Ship Snap Dragon." The book covers his entire life of seventy-five years and not only his tour of military duty as an American Privateer (not pirate) during the War of 1812, fighting against British Tall Ship Naval forces.
Guerrilla Marketers' Café new Featured Author, Gysgt. Jack Robinson USMC, Retired is actively promoting his book in North Carolina. "I was amazed at how this book came about to begin with, and by the well documented history of Captain Otway," said Clary Lopez, founder of Guerrilla Marketers' Café, who offers free book promotions for authors. "I'm not surprised that this book is getting such a good reception by the community who is looking to embrace those who know how to preserve local history for the generations to come."
