Cranium Softworks Selected to Present at SIIA's Previews Conference
Cranium Softworks will present Entitlement Management Solution (EMS), at the one day conference sponsored by SIIA, is an all-new prequel to the Association's Information Industry Summit, held January 30-31 in New York City.
Silver Spring, MD (PRWEB) January 27, 2007 -- Cranium Softworks, Inc. has been selected by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) to present at Previews, held January 29 from 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the corporate headquarters of CIBC World Markets in New York City.
Cranium Softworks will present Entitlement Management Solution (EMS), at the one day conference sponsored by SIIA, is an all-new prequel to the Association's Information Industry Summit, held January 30-31. SIIA accepts nominations from early-stage publishers, content creators, aggregators and other content technology companies to participate in this event. Only eleven companies are selected to present before an audience of potential business partners, customers and investors.
"We are very enthusiastic about being selected to present our online intellectual property protection solution to such an outstanding group of industry executives" said Amir Khosrodad, president of Cranium Softworks, Inc. "This is a tremendous way to start 2007 and an excellent validation of our solution."
EMS is instrumental in helping publishers prevent piracy of online content. Sharing passwords for premium online magazines, news subscriptions, and research materials is illegal in the United States and may be among the most commonly committed, unreported consumer frauds.
It costs the industry many millions of dollars annually and yet is almost invisible because few companies have the tools in place to prevent piracy and most IT directors are not willing to admit to management that there is a problem.
"Online content piracy is a huge challenge for the publishing industry and often copyright law is broken without the user even realizing that they have transgressed. Often the security breach is detected long after the infraction has occurred with many dollars lost. We recommend that publishers take steps to protect and monetize their valuable intellectual property assets. SIIA member Cranium Softworks provides a means for online publishers to fight against these copyright violations." said Ed Keating, Vice President, Content Division (SIIA). "We are pleased to have them participate in our Previews program to demonstrate their solution."
The Software & Information Industry Association is the principal trade association for the software and digital content industry. SIIA provides global services in government relations, business development, corporate education and intellectual property protection to the leading companies that are setting the pace for the digital age.
Other companies confirmed to present at Previews include Decision Tree Media, Eurekster, Generate, Near-Time, Dragonfly, Inform Technologies LLC, Pando Networks, Real Time Matrix, Attributor and iCopyright.
