MediaSpigot LLC today announced the launch of the new owner's club for Subaru fans around the world: SubieClub.

To enable communication among its worldwide membership base, SubieClub is simultaneously launching a new web community (http://www.subieclub.com) that features advanced forums, live chat, blogs and galleries; providing a rich Internet experience for both members and visitors.

Beyond its Internet hub, SubieClub is focusing on bringing a "real world" experience to owners by promoting and supporting local events and interaction with organizations aligned with Subaru's environmental and performance heritage.

"We're very impressed with what Ryan and his team achieved with Subiesport Magazine," commented Horacio Antonielli, GM of Prodrive, the company responsible for running Subaru's World Rally Championship program and a major producer of Subaru performance parts. "We expect that SubieClub will equally exceed expectations and hope that all Subaru owners will become members."

The first major club event will be the "World Meet." Open to members and non-members alike, and organized by local clubs, the World Meet will bring together Subaru owners all around the world on a single weekend, October 13-14, to talk about their cars and learn more about owning a Subaru. Photos submitted from each of these meets will then be published in the February 2008 issue of Subiesport Magazine, the world's largest Subaru-specific publication. Thus far, meets have already been arranged for Japan, Australia, Costa Rica, Peru, the United Kingdom, Canada and several locations in the United States. More are being added daily, check http://www.subieclub.com for the latest info or to find a meet in your local area.

Non-members can participate in the online SubieClub forums by registering for free. However, membership is required for full access to the site's features, to participate in club-only events, and to receive exclusive discounts from the club's vendor partners. Annual dues are $30 USD, payable directly on the web site.
