Jay Versluis Fine Art have just released a range of their portfolio as affordable posters, from as little as £4.99. The products will be officially launched at Grand Designs Live at the NEC in Birmingham, 5 th -7 th of October, Stand L7.

The artist couple Jay and Julia Versluis, creators of colourful abstract Light Paintings, have made 50 of their images available in three sizes: Small 11x17" (28x42cm or A3), Medium 13x19" (33x48cm) and Extra Large 24x36" (61x91cm). Up to now, the images were only available to art collectors as Limited Editions of 40 on Acrylic Diasec, with prices between £399 and £1699.

Says Jay Versluis, "We've had an amazing success with our Light Paintings over the last two years. So many people love our work, but simply can't afford a Limited Edition. These posters will make our images available to everybody. We had so much lovely feedback, from small children to retired couples. We want our images to inspire and brighten up many homes and bland offices around the world."

The new posters are open edition prints and often feature a cropped version of the original images, with a black border and title (see examples below). 32 landscapes and 18 portrait formats are available at launch, with further releases planned in the future. The products are available as glossy prints rolled up in a sturdy postal tube, or mounted onto 5mm foam board ready for hanging.

Production is split between in-house printing at the couples' North London office, and Redclliffe Imaging, Ltd in Bristol using Giclee printing-on-demand. Mounting is carried out by long-time collaborators Kay Mounting in Finsbury Park, who are also responsible for the pristine Diasec Mounting onto Acrylic.

"Although Inkjet (or Giclee) prints generally have a lower gamut than our Lambda prints, we couldn't be happier with the results we're getting from Redcliffe, as well as our own system", continues Versluis. "The trained eye will always be able to spot the difference, and we will continue to supply Lambda prints for our Limited Editions. But at such low prices and the convenience of Inkjet Posters, we are delighted to offer our work in this form for every budget."

Jay and Julia Versluis have been creating abstract Light Paintings since 2003 and have been exhibiting their work in the UK since 2005. Their work is available as Limited Editions, and has been featured in The Independent and Art Business Today. The couple have been commissioned for various installations in the UK, including large light boxes. Jay and Julia Versluis are close collaborators with SoundArt, featuring their images on flat canvas speakers.
