SpaFinder, the global spa resource, has purchased an interest in SpaBoom, a fast-growing online spa marketing services company that currently provides more than 1,300 day spas with the ability to sell Instant Gift Certificates on their websites. Through this strategic investment, the companies will market their respective offerings to their 4,500+ non-overlapping spa customers as well as the 11,500 additional spas that compose the U.S. spa market.
The agreement involves sharing technology as well as customers. SpaFinder plans to integrate SpaBoom's technology into several of its spa marketing platforms, notably its industry-leading online spa gift certificates program, which currently drives business to more than 4,000 spa marketing partners through sales at SpaFinder.com. It's also anticipated that SpaFinder will roll SpaBoom's spa gift certificates tool into its new SpaBooker spa management system, enabling participating spas to complement the business they receive through the SpaFinder Gift Certificates program with Instant Gift Certificate sales generated on their own sites.
