Electric Cloud®, a leading provider of software production management solutions, today announced that Bill Schmitt has joined the company's management team as vice president of business development. Bill brings over 20 years of business development, marketing and strategy experience to help build and grow Electric Cloud's ecosystem of strategic partners in the software development market and to accelerate the company's expansion into new vertical markets.

Prior to joining Electric Cloud, Bill Schmitt was vice president of corporate business development for Borland Software, where he helped establish Borland in the Quality/Testing space and built a Java partner ecosystem for their CodeGear division. Bill also designed and built new businesses at Autodesk (ADSK) and Agile Software (AGIL), and he is also a former management consultant for both A.T. Kearney and EDS. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and MBA/MMM from the Kellogg School of Management and the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University.
