Lake Worth FL (PRWEB) October 4, 2007
One of the nation's largest Oktoberfest events is happening in Lake Worth, Florida in Palm Beach county on the weekends of October 12th through the 14th, and the 19th through the 21st. Coinciding with the event -- which is hosted by the American German Club of Lake Worth -- is a special package from the Holiday Inn Boynton Beach that includes breakfast, tickets to the event and an on-site parking pass for the event.
Strap on the lederhosen and dust off the Stein it's that time of year to celebrate the harvest, the harvest of the hops that is. It's Oktoberfest. And if Munich is not in your travel plans these next few weeks, the next best is the second largest in North America right here in Lake Worth, Florida.
It seems that the local American German Club has been building a tradition of its own these past few years to become one of the largest Oktoberfest events outside of the original. "It's been a bigger and bigger event each year," says Lou Frazer, local Director of Sales for the Holiday Inn Boynton Beach, which is located near the event, "but only until these past few years when we started to compare attendance and participants did we realize just how big it had become."
Visitors can get their fill of all the traditional German favorites of bratwurst, knockwurst, schnitzel, sauerbraten and, of course, beer.
"We'll have the great harvest beers of Germany. We'll have real bands from Germany and real food from Germany, so why fly? Just drive to Lake Worth and stay with us!" Frazer adds with a smile. "We have an Oktoberfest package that allows you to do just that, it includes breakfast for two, admission for two and a parking pass on-site of the Oktoberfest, all for $129 a night."
