Lynn Do, President and CEO of Atlanta-based RenovoData Inc., was awarded the AeA Southeast Spirit of Endeavor Award for Technology Entrepreneur on September 20, 2007. The award, created by the American Electronics Association's Southeastern regional office was presented to Ms. Do at the AeA's annual awards banquet held at the Fabulous Fox Theater. This year was special because it commemorated the AeA's 20th anniversary in the Southeast. The Spirit of Endeavor awards were created to honor and celebrate those who embody the spirit which drives new ideas, invigorates the community; and who strive to instill the spirit of entrepreneurship in others.

Ms. Do, who has seen her company from its humblest beginnings to a worldwide provider of remote backup services and disaster recovery solutions, has been instrumental in meeting market changes and business dynamics.

"As a supporter of the AeA council, I am deeply honored to receive this prestigious award," remarked Ms. Do. She went onto express her appreciation of the Atlanta technology community, including TechLINKS, Technology Association of Georgia, Women In Technology, and the ATDC for their continued support in creating a climate in which entrepreneurs are able to thrive and prosper.

Each year the AeA holds its Spirit of Endeavor awards in an attempt to showcase some of the top innovators in technology. This year, the AeA honored three individuals and two organizations. The 2007 recipients were selected from 50 nominees by a panel of 35 respected community leaders from all segments of the southeast technology community. Besides Lynn Do of RenovoData, other entrepreneurs included Mark Allen of CardioMEMS for Technology Innovator and Michael Kogon of Definition 6 for Technology Leader. The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC), the GaTech incubator, won for Leadership in Education, while TALENTHire.com won for emerging technology business. Ms. Do joins the likes of Jim Geiger of Cbeyond and Tom Noonan of Internet Security Systems, who were previous recipients of the AeA Spirit of Endeavor award for Technology Entrepreneur.
