ISS (http://www.issinc.com) has been a awarded a task under its $49.9M Secure Information Access Analysis and Dissemination contract with the Air Force Research Laboratory in Rome NY. The award includes a wide range of tasks totaling nearly $17.5 million value to be completed over a 12-month period of performance. This large award will fund activities ranging from deploying ISS developed technologies in many locations, to supporting the deployment of mission critical applications to our troops in harms way around the world.
“This award represents an expansion of many projects across all of our business areas from ‘Space to Mud’. We’re excited about the confidence the Air Force and their customers are placing in us.” Said Jay Jesse, President of ISS. The contract represents over a dozen different tasks. Several will support the war efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Jesse continues “We will be transitioning several technologies directly into the hands of the warfighter during this project. Our ability to push the technology envelope, yet get pragmatic useful capabilities quickly into the hands of the people we really work for is our trademark”
In addition to the highly qualified staff at ISS, it is anticipated these additional tasks will result in adding staff in the greater Colorado Springs area as well as at various other sites around the world.
