There is no need for you to read something that 100 people like you thought was a waste of time

Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 5, 2007 -- Snarfware LLC, today announced the general availability of Snarfer v0.9.0, the newest beta version of their award winning RSS reader. Snarfer is the leading software approach to RSS aggregation focusing on speed, efficiency and ease of use. Snarfer is the best way to Read, Search and Manage RSS. Snarfer v0.9.0 introduces support for secure RSS feeds delivered via HTTPS as well as a number of other enhancements including support for the Outbrain RSS feed rating system and Pageflakes personalized home pages. Snarfer is the most downloaded RSS reader on CNet's www.download.com.

Outbrain's RSS feed rating system has been added to this version of Snarfer to allow users the ability to easily rate the RSS feeds they read. When reading RSS feeds in Snarfer users will now see a five star rating system that allows them to rate each article as Bad, Boring, Ok, Good or Excellent. Rating information is then collected by Outbrain and then shared with the blog community. "There is no need for you to read something that 100 people like you thought was a waste of time," says Yaron Galai, CEO of Outbrain. "We are very excited to be able to tap into Snarfer's advanced user base to help us rate and personalize content throughout the Outbrain network of blogs and RSS readers. As this relationship grows, we hope to help Snarfer users to more easily find the highest quality content using their Snarfer reader."

Pageflakes allows users to easily customize the Internet using "Flakes" -- small, movable versions of all of their Web favorites that they can arrange on their personal homepage. Users can also participate in the Pageflakes community, sharing their page as a "Pagecast" with a private group or with the world, and connect with other users across the globe. "Users rely on Snarfer as the central point for reading their RSS feeds," says Ole Brandenburg, Cofounder of Pageflakes. "With the addition of Pageflakes in Snarfer, users can now create personalized homepages and Pagecasts right in Snarfer. Snarfer users can now enhance their RSS experience with a homepage personalized to their interests, featuring video, music, email and more. They can then share and explore those interests with others. We're delighted to work with Snarfer to provide a truly personalized RSS reading experience."

Users will need to upgrade to Snarfer 0.9.0. to access the Outbrain and Pageflakes functions.
