Overall growth at PLS Check Cashers has been driven by aggressive acquisition, as well as demand for key services such as money transfer services. PLS Financial Services reached a new growth milestone in late August, when the company's headcount reached 2,500 with the hiring of Janice Dopley as a Store Manager for PLS Check Cashers in New York. PLS, which operates PLS Check Cashers, PLS Payday Loan Store, PLS Auto Title Loans, PLS Tax Service and PLS Vehicle Registration, has grown by more than 20% since January 2007.

"It's no surprise that our 2,500th hire was in New York," says Dan Wolfberg, Co-President of PLS. "PLS Check Cashers in New York has tripled in size since the first quarter of 2006." Growth in the PLS Check Cashers business unit has been driven by its focus on key services that its customers demand, such as money transfer services. Currently, PLS Check Cashers is the largest North American check cashers money transfer agent network for Western Union and the 5th largest North American Western Union agent network overall.

PLS growth has also been fueled by aggressive acquisition in key markets, particularly New York and Southern California. "PLS is actively seeking purchase opportunities in all markets, and we're willing to pay a premium to close the deal," states Bob Wolfberg, Co-President of PLS Financial Services.

Alvino Davenporte, PLS Human Resources Manager, believes that PLS is regarded as an employer of choice in the industry. "It's easy for PLS to recruit because of our reputation for excellence and personal growth opportunities. People want to be a part of a successful team," says Davenporte.

To support its rapid growth, PLS recently expanded its recruitment efforts. Davenporte has been rolling out the new PLS hiring program, called "Welcome to the PLS Family." According to Davenporte, PLS appeals to many job hunters because the company considers each new hire a part of the team. "At PLS, we call everyone a teammate, not an employee, because we believe that success comes from teamwork," says Davenporte.

Currently, PLS Check Cashers leads other PLS business units in hiring. The fact that many prospective hires are familiar with PLS Check Cashers services, like its Western Union money transfer service, simplifies the recruitment effort.

PLS expects that its hiring will continue at a rapid pace in fourth quarter 2007 and into 2008.
