Morgan City, LA (PRWEB) October 8, 2007
Delta Wave Communications, Inc. is pleased to announce that they will be providing the new upcoming FleetBroadband equipment and services.
Co-sponsoring with Inmarsat, they will be featuring the new FleetBroadband equipment and service offerings at the upcoming Offshore Communications 2007 conference in Houston on Nov. 6-8th (http://www.offshorecoms.com).
Inmarsat FleetBroadband, which will go officially on-line on Nov. 19th, is the first maritime communications service to provide cost-effective broadband data and voice, simultaneously, through a compact antenna on a global basis. Based on 3G standards, FleetBroadband will support the latest IP services, as well as traditional circuit switched voice and data for legacy applications.
The terminals are designed specifically for use within the maritime environment, regardless of weather conditions. As compared to current maritime broadband offerings, Inmarsat FleetBroadband equipment is much more compact, with the antenna sizes even smaller than current configurations offered to the maritime market.
A variety of service plans will be made available, providing cost-effective solutions for marine vessels operating on a global basis, as well as clients conducting other operations supporting offshore Oil and Gas operations.
