Salamander Technologies, Inc. (http://www.salamandertechnologies.com), the leading provider of First Responder Accountability, Emergency Incident Command, and Mass Casualty Patient tracking systems nationwide, announces the release and immediate availability of fireTRAX® Version 1.8.

This new release contains new features and several performance enhancements requested by customers. Assignments and Qualifications have been expanded beyond fire to include medical, public works and more to keep in compliance with NIMS standards. We have partnered with Datacard® and the Identification Systems Group to provide a solution for our mutual customers to allow IDCentre™ badge designs to be printed direct from fireTRAX® . Patient Tracking has been expanded so the fireTRAX® Host application can now view and print patient reports.

"I am very pleased with this effort from the development team," says Russ Miller, President. "This latest version of fireTRAXÒ is something the whole organization can be proud of, with each update improving the solution for our many customers."

Other feature improvements include Direct Photo Capture into a personnel record; Export to Excel of Personnel and other data; Enhanced Badge Designs with larger photos and more room for the barcode; and Patient Tracking in the Command application with color-coded views of triaged patients.

The fireTRAXÒ v1.8 upgrade is available at no-charge for customers currently signed up for a Salamander Technologies, Inc. Maintenance Program, including it's TRAXsupport system.
