Janice Clark, an entrepreneur based in West Virginia, has purchased the popular eNetworking site BusinessMom.net (http://www.businessmom.net). This dynamic networking site for moms gives women the opportunity to forge strong professional as well as social connections through forums, blogs and the ability to create their own space in a rapidly growing online community.
Hailed as the MySpace for mom business owners, women have enjoyed the opportunity to network, share ideas and build relationships at BusinessMom.net since its inception last February. The previous owner, Bunmi Zalob, wanted a place for business poms to meet, share and create so she created BusinessMom.net. Janice acquired the site on September 5, seeing it as an opportunity to grow the site to be not only a meeting place but a source of information and resources as well.
"The goal at BusinessMom.net is to become the leading online networking community for professional moms," said Clark, "We envision a dynamic community of women coming together to share resources, support friends, build their businesses and be moms.
Janice shares her vision with Sandra Pearson whom she works with at Team Double-Clicksm, the Virtual Assisting Company where the two join forces to lead a Virtual Staffing Consulting/Services Team. Capitalizing on their shared vision of helping women build successful businesses the two will continue their successful "Buddy System" concept with BusinessMom.net.
"We have some really exciting plans for this community but want to know what other Business Moms are looking for too," said Clark. "We have set up a forum (http://www.businessmom.net/index.php?do=/public/forum/topics/id_14/) so members can share their dreams for the site with us. We want to know what they're looking for, how we can serve them and what we can improve. This is a community and we are here to nurture it and encourage others.
