Carl Rogers of CALROG.COM to Release a Travel Guide on Kentucky Highways
Pictures of Highway Shields: Kentucky!", to be released at the end of October 2007, will be Rogers' latest publication on American highways. By showing pictures of highway markers (or "highway shields"), readers will also get a pictorial representation of what Kentucky's bluegrass scenery offers. This will be an excellent tool for those wishing to travel through the mid-southern American state.
San José, CA (PRWEB) October 8, 2007 -- Carl Rogers announces his intended publication of "Pictures of Highway Shields: Kentucky!", in conjunction with Lulu (www.lulu.com), the world's fastest-growing provider of print-on-demand books, and Calrog.com, a cutting-edge repository of International highway shields.
By showing the reader pictures of highway markers (i.e., highway shields) for Kentucky's freeways, rural expressways and two-laned streets, one's future travel-plans to the Bluegrass state will become more simplified and clear. The book will largely cover the eastern and southern tiers of Kentucky, while also giving special focus to the bordertown of Louisville. Also included will be a geographical index that shows which highways provide access to your favourite Bluegrass hotspots.
Rogers designed "Pictures of Highway Shields: Kentucky!" to familiarise the public with a state often overlooked, yet rich in natural beauty and with exciting opportunities for real estate. "Pictures of Highway Shields: Kentucky!" will be available for purchase at http://www.lulu.com/calrog-bookstore .
"I've had the opportunity to visit Kentucky twice over the past year," states Rogers. "It is certainly a change of contrast for an urban-dweller to enter the rugged, rural landscape of Kentucky. The state takes great pride in maintaining its intricate and well-developed road system. It's a system so intricate and expansive that you can find state highways with four-digit designations. For a book to cover many of Kentucky's State, Federal, and Interstate highways, a little extra time was needed to put this book together. The target of an early October release just couldn't be met."
When asked when the book would be released, Rogers said, "October 27 is the updated target. Admittedly, part of this delay is due to another Calrog.com project--on Japanese superhighways--that involves extensive research and development for our Worldwide Highway Library. The folks at Lulu Publishing have been extremely flexible in terms of when this book will be published; we're pleased to have them as the publisher of all Calrog.com travel guides."
