San Jose, CA (PRWEB) October 10, 2007
SLCN, the leading television network in Second Life, plans to launch their corporate video production and streaming services at the Virtual Worlds Fall conference in San Jose, October 10th and 11th.
The service enables brands to capture and stream their in-world events and activities as they happen inside a virtual world.
Established in May this year, the company is now producing 10 weekly shows through its SLCN.TV virtual television station. SLCN is now launching a new SLCN business service, offering their extensive production capability to corporations interested in creating private events and special-purpose shows and footage.
"We are responding to the need for companies to reveal what they are doing inside virtual worlds. SLCN is the most experienced at live production and streaming of virtual worlds events, allowing stakeholders who cannot go in-world to still see what is taking place there." says SLCN CEO Gary Wisniewski.
One of the particularly interesting offerings of the business service is called the Virtual OB, a tool that allows the client to direct the shoot from a remote location using a private stream to show them the live multi-camera shots.
"The Virtual OB is something we are really excited to launch. It has been used very successfully in the past and gives the client total control over what is captured during a shoot", says Wisniewski.
The Virtual OB features are detailed on the new SLCN Business website (http://www.slcn.biz) along with information about the studio facilities, pricing and technical specifications such as formats, time-coding and frame rate options.
According to Wisniewski, the VW Fall conference is an ideal place to launch the service given the number of brands active in virtual worlds that will be present.
"We are also interested in attracting partners from the many development companies who are building virtual world properties. SLCN are specialists in video capture and streaming and we can remove a lot of the headaches for the developer needing to offer those services to clients", says Wisniewski.
