"We are exceeding our initial projections by quite a bit," said Robin Zieme, spokesperson for HOORRAY. "Of course, search engine marketing has played a role in our success in helping people share photo memories, but so have a variety of other factors."

Zieme declined to mention other techniques being used to drive visitors to HOORRAY, but said it was a combination of online and offline efforts. Making HOORRAY the leading place to create photo stories was a team effort, he said.

HOORRAY allows members to do more than other photo sharing sites. It has an easy interface that lets people add written and spoken words to their photos. Rather than simply emailing a photo or ordering a print, members of HOORRAY can truly share photo memories and create photo stories.

"Photos are vitally important in helping people maintain connections with the people in their life," Zieme said.
