There is a new standard for editing and analyzing healthcare claims thanks to an integrated offering from Bloodhound Technologies and Secure EDI. The partnership pairs Secure EDI's claims gateway platform with Bloodhound's editing and analytics solution for real time pre-adjudication claims editing. This offering will give Secure EDI clients a claims process that produces fully edited 'clean' claims before entering the claims transaction system all processed in sub-second response time. This provides the extraordinary ability to enhance information going back to the provider about coding errors on the claim prior to adjudication by the insurance carrier.

"Through our partnership and integration with Bloodhound we have taken claims editing and claims content auditing to a new level, resulting in considerable operational efficiencies for both payers and providers," stated Severiano Lopez-Marrero, Principal, Secure EDI.

In addition, this offering includes a suite of web-based tools that give instant editing feedback along with a full explanation of edits to providers. These tools also give providers the ability to re-submit claims or accept the edits online in real-time.

"This integration with Secure EDI is in line with our vision to create a 'common ground' where both payers and providers have access and visibility to the same data. Providing this level of visibility will build trust and encourage self-service in the provider community. It will also improve consistency in claims payment operations and reduce or eliminate many manual processes in the claims adjudication cycle," said Gary Twigg, CEO of Bloodhound. "The benefits of this revolutionary editing model will be increased auto-adjudication rates, less pended and rejected claims, and fewer appeals."
