The Institute for Financial Literacy is pleased to announce the winners of the 2007 Excellence In Financial Literacy Education ("EIFLE") Awards, which were presented on October 4 at the 2007 Annual Conference on Financial Education. The EIFLE was created to acknowledge innovation, dedication, and the commitment of those supporting financial literacy education efforts.
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) October 11, 2007 -- The Institute for Financial Literacy is pleased to announce the winners of the 2007 Excellence In Financial Literacy Education ("EIFLE") Awards, which were presented in Dallas, Texas on October 4 at the 2007 Annual Conference on Financial Education. The EIFLE was created to acknowledge innovation, dedication, and the commitment of those supporting financial literacy education efforts. Awards were given in the following categories:
Institutional Book of the Year for Children in the Money Management Category: "Money Savvy Kids" by Susan Beacham at Money Savvy Generation.
Educator of the Year: Daniel James Enga of Auriton Solutions.
Organization of the Year (Not for Profit): Networks Financial Institute at Indiana State University.
Organization of the Year (For Profit): M & I Marshall & Illsley Bank.
Trade Book of the Year for Children in the Money Management Category: "A Smart Girl's Guide to Money: How to Make it, Save it and Spend it" by Nancy Holyoke and American Girl Publishing.
Institutional Book of the Year for Children in the General Category: "NEFE High School Financial Planning Program (HSFPP)" by the National Endowment for Financial Education.
Published Research Paper of the Year: "Assessing Adult Financial Literacy and Why it Matters" by Networks Financial Institute at Indiana State University, ed. John A. Tatom, Ph.D.
Visa Legislator of the Year: Congressman Rubén Hinojosa (D-TX).

The Institute for Financial Literacy is a tax exempt non-profit organization whose mission is to make effective financial literacy education available for all American adults. The Institute accomplishes its mission by developing financial literacy education programs, partnering with other organizations to integrate these programs into their existing services, and publishing the National Standards in Adult Financial Literacy Education.
