iCRco, Inc. Introduces the Unique DR System "The iDR"

The iDR system is a sealed scanning DR system. It generates high resolution and superior quality images, fully processed and delivered to a review station in 30 seconds.

(PRWEB) October 11, 2007 -- iCRco, Inc. introduces the unique DR system "The iDR." iCRco, Inc. has been in digital imaging industry since 1990. The company produced a line of Film Digitizers during RDI years and later started producing Computed Radiography machines. In 2001 iCRco introduced the True Flat Scan Path technology for its new line of Computed Radiography systems. This revolutionary scanning technique enables very fast scanning and erasing of CR cassettes in one step. Delicate CR plates are encapsulated inside the iCRco digital cassettes and the plate is read without any contact to the scan head. This touch less reading technique guarantees that plates will last a lifetime, and image quality will never change over time. iCRco, The Innovative CR Company, takes pride in having their focus on research and development to meet the demands of the digital imaging world.

The highest quality Direct Radiography (DR) system typically uses a non-storage phosphor layer bonded to a series of pixel sized sensors in a 17X17 active surface area. X-ray energy passing through the phosphor layer generates light that is sensed by the pixel sized sensors

These systems can, in theory, generate very good images. In practice, if any one of the pixel sized sensors is "dead" then the DR plate fails. The high mortality rate of these plates is one reason that the price is invariably $100K+ for a plate sensor system.

"The iDR system is a sealed scanning DR system. It generates high resolution and superior quality images, fully processed and delivered to a review station in 30 seconds. This new DR system can be configured to wirelessly transmit an image over an internal network or internet connection and it can work over standard network connections. We are currently looking for OEM Vendors to combine the iDR module with their x-ray systems to introduce this technology as a complete package." states Stephen Neushul, the head engineer and CEO of iCRco, Inc. "The iDR module is flexible, fast and simple to use." he adds.

Putting the innovative thinking to work, iDR is the next cutting edge technology for direct radiography to be introduced by iCRco.

The iDR technology will be introduced at the RSNA 2007 in Chicago.
