Carmel, IN (PRWEB) October 12, 2007 -- By utilizing all her experience with natural media, digital media, design and photography, V.Van Tiem creates truly unique storybook portraits. "Little Stories to Tell" is a wonderful little book showcasing a collection of her most unique art while sharing some of the stories and insights behind the work.
"I start with a photograph taken in a studio I designed for natural and real portraits," Victoria will explain, "and this becomes the foundation. Skin tones are digitally airbrushed, and I digitally paint in, with oils or watercolors, all the little embellishments that add to the story telling of childhood."
According to David Hockney, the great artists were believed to set up their scene-complete with actors, and use a lens or concave mirror to project the image directly on the canvas. "They used the technology of their day to create a new form of art." V.Van Tiem explains, "I guess that's where I am, somewhere new and in-between. But art nonetheless."
Share some of the stories behind V.Van Tiem's art, and enjoy unique and beautiful portraits-from seasonal fairies in an enchanted forest, to afternoons spent at the shore- this collection truly captures childhood in a brand new way.
Pre-orders now being accepted at V.Van Tiems website. http://www.gallery-portraits.com for $49.95. Little Stories to Tell will also be available on Borders.com and Amazon.com by November first.
