Imagination meets innovation in the heart of Hollywood’s “Entertainment District” when FITC presents FITC Hollywood, a festival for creative professionals working in advertising, design, animation, film, video, and the Internet. Slated for October 22 – 23, 2007, this two-day event features hands-on presentations, panel discussions and Q&A sessions led by over 50 world-class speakers.

“FITC Hollywood is the first conference to bridge the gap between entertainment and technology,” says Shawn Pucknell, Founding Director and Executive Producer of FITC Hollywood. “Our approach is simple: create a cutting-edge environment where designers and developers can learn about the latest technologies and techniques driving the rich media entertainment industry.”

FITC Hollywood is organized around three core streams -- creative, technical and business -- offering attendees a complete 360 degree perspective on the industry and where it’s headed. Topic areas covered include: animation, flash video, mobile, mashups, multi-channel experience, and rich Internet applications.

Highlights of FITC Hollywood include:

  •     Presentations from Adobe, Big Spaceship (Joshua Hirsch), Tailer Park, and others
  •     Pre-festival animation workshop

The use of rich media in entertainment has exploded in the last year. Adobe Flash® powers the video capabilities of social networking sites such as YouTube and MySpace and is used in many high-concept Websites and viral campaigns. The technology is also being used to develop and produce commercials for television.
