First Wines Released by New Washington Label Heaven's Cave Cellars with Winemaker Ray McKee
Heaven's Cave Cellars announces the release of its inaugural 2005-vintage wines at it's upcoming Harvest Hoopla event to be held October 20, from 2-5 p.m. at their production facility in the Horse Heaven Hills, outside Paterson, Washington.
Paterson, WA (PRWEB) October 13, 2007 -- Heaven's Cave Cellars (www.heavenscave.com) announces the release of its inaugural 2005-vintage wines with winemaker Ray McKee. McKee, most recently assistant winemaker at Covey Run, joined Heaven's Cave Cellars in 2007, bringing more than 15 years of winemaking experience to the winery.
The Heaven's Cave Collection includes Overlook 360 (Cabernet Sauvignon), Destination (Merlot) and The Dweller (Syrah). To celebrate the new releases, Heaven's Cave Cellars will host a Harvest Hoopla on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 2-5 p.m. at their production facility in the Horse Heaven Hills, outside of Paterson.
The event will feature a wine tasting of the new collection, appetizers by Wild Ginger of Seattle, and entertainment by members of the award-winning Garfield High School Jazz Ensemble. There will also be hard-hat tours of The Cave at Destiny Ridge, currently under construction and future home of Heaven's Cave Cellars.
Tickets for the Harvest Hoopla are $75 and can be reserved by calling Ali Boyle at (509) 832-2786, or emailing her by Oct. 17. A limited number of press passes are available if reserved by Oct. 16.
Heaven's Cave Cellars is located in the Horse Heaven Hills appellation of eastern Washington, overlooking the Columbia River. Using grapes from its Destiny Ridge Estate Vineyard, Heaven's Cave Cellars, under winemaker Ray McKee, crafts small lots of premium wines. Heaven's Cave Cellars is a for-profit winery that chooses to donate all profits after taxes to the Make the DASH Count Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit foundation dedicated to developing the next generation of philanthropic leaders while also benefiting at-risk youth.
