Thorne to vice president of development for the company’s EMEA region. The advancement directly supports BridgeStreet’s ambitious goal to quickly expand its selection of serviced apartments across Europe.

In his new role, Thorne is charged with the identification, negotiation and inventory management of serviced apartment blocks throughout EMEA whilst uncovering potential acquisition opportunities. Thorne has been instrumental in the growth of BridgeStreet Worldwide by helping to launch its unique brand of property management and thereby greatly expanding its portfolio of serviced apartments throughout the UK.

Through a combination of models designed to be flexible and unique to each owner and property, BridgeStreet offers a range of management options from leases to managed contracts. Each program is designed to increase revenues and accelerate asset growth through unrivalled efficiency in asset management in the serviced apartment sector.

Thorne began his career in the serviced apartment industry in 1994 as general manager of London Life Apartments and was serving as assistant vice president of operations in 1998 when BridgeStreet acquired the organization. Prior to his current position Thorne was director of development, during which time he negotiated over 1,000 units for BridgeStreet’s UK inventory. He is a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents (FNAEA) and a member of the National Landlords Association (NLA) in the UK.
