Tidewater Direct to Install an Additional Sanden Press in its Midwest Facility

Leading direct mail components supplier increases production capacity.

Centreville , MD (PRWEB) October 14, 2007 -- Tidewater Direct, Inc., a direct mail components supplier with three facilities located in West Branch Iowa, Baltimore Maryland and Centreville Maryland, will complete installation of a six-unit roll-to-roll Sanden continuous-forms press in its Iowa plant by November 2007. Full production is expected by January 2008. This is a sister press to the eight-unit Sanden press installed a year and a half ago at the same location.

In addition to single-sided printing of up to six colors, the Tidewater Direct's press can also print on both sides of the paper in one pass in common configurations of four-over-two (4/2) or five-over-one (5/1). The company will use the press to produce single- and multi-page newsletters and brochures, self-mailers, catalogs, buckslips, inserts, statement stuffers and more.

According to Ken Boone, President of Tidewater Direct, the new Sanden press offers customers more production throughput for faster turnaround times on high-volume direct mail component needs.

"Since the United States Postal Service is likely to continue raising postal rates, direct mailers must seek production efficiencies to save money," says Boone. "This Sanden allows us to offer our customers a wide range of format, delivery and turnaround choices."
