Henley-Putnam University has awarded scholarships to sixty police departments across the nation who value and encourage higher education in law enforcement. The University works with police departments to provide advanced education tailored to the unique needs of law enforcement personnel. Henley-Putnam University offers online bachelors and masters degree programs in Management of Personal Protection, Intelligence Management and Terrorism and Counterterrorism Studies.
Henley-Putnam University's degree programs are conducted completely online, eliminating many of the "brick and mortar" barriers police officers and sheriff's deputies have faced in the past, providing them the ability to complete a degree program anywhere, anytime.
"We are delighted to award these annual $1000 scholarships in support of law enforcement agencies that value the importance of advanced education relevant to day to day police work," said Michael Corcoran, PhD., President of Henley-Putnam University, himself a former police officer and veteran of the U.S. Secret Service.
"Henley-Putnam's programs offer detailed training in tradecraft in the fields of surveillance methods and counterterrorism techniques that every senior law enforcement officer should know in today's world," said William Starbuck, PhD., Dean of Students of Henley-Putnam University, himself a former D.A. Investigator and veteran of the FBI.
