New Social Networking Site for Sports Fans and Trivia Buffs Launched by TriviaFix

TriviaFix, a new social networking site for sports fans and trivia buffs, has recently launched. The community allows users to challenge one another on all things sports.

Beit Shemesh, Israel (PRWEB) October 16, 2007 -- Die-hard sports fans and trivia buffs can now up their bragging rights on the new Web site TriviaFix.com (http://www.triviafix.com). The site gives those who enjoy showing off their sports knowledge something new to be talking about.

"If you think you know sports, TriviaFix is the place to prove it," says Dani Waxman, cofounder of TriviaFix.com. "TriviaFix.com is a site devoted to sports trivia with a new twist, making it easy for sports fans to compete and show off their knowledge to one another."

TriviaFix is an online community and competition built around sports trivia. The site mixes user-generated content with social networking to create a fun community sure to please sport fans and trivia buffs alike. TriviaFix supplies users the power to pinpoint a sports trivia category of personal interest, track their stats and check in to see how friends are doing in certain categories of questions.

Visitors will find an amazing array of sports trivia categories and challenges contributed and controlled through the input of likeminded sports fans. Members submit their own questions, create their own trivia teams and organize competitions. The questions can include multimedia elements, adding an even greater interactive element.

"Users can attempt to trump their friends on a platform that provides an undisputed rating system of the top trivia players, making it clear who the top sports fan really is," Waxman says. "Users can use the Challenge feature to send others a particular question. While the Challenge feature doesn’t affect a user’s stats, it can affect a person’s ego."

TriviaFix categorizes questions into professional basketball, baseball, football and hockey. Users are quizzed on an array of sports trivia, including questions such as:

  • Carmelo Anthony had a cameo appearance on whose 2005 album?
  • Which position in the NHL may a player play in order to qualify for the James Norris Memorial Trophy?
  • What Washington Redskins coach had a record of 145-87-0 going into the 2007-08 season?

About TriviaFix.com
TriviaFix.com is a new Web site for sports fans and trivia buffs that is well organized and simple to follow. Making the site fun and easy to participate is a requisite first principal of the design and function employed by founders Dani Waxman and Marc Tobin.
Formerly VP Operations at 2AM Games, Waxman brings many years of gaming, community management, usability skills and a general love of trivia to the project.

Tobin is a self-described sports trivia genius whose capacity to store sports knowledge can only be explained as part of his genetic make-up. He has been involved in several corporate startups as a new venture specialist.
