Karla Dishun, the owner of Momma's Boy-Daddy's Girl, opened the first retail store just over 3 years ago and the explosion of the internet business has truly astonished her. "I expected the internet sales to be a nice supplement to the retail store's business, especially given my penchant for southern-styled children's clothing in a geographical area that typically prefers more European-styled children's clothing. I never would have imagined that the internet sales would outpace the store sales and necessitate a move into a larger, more warehouse-type space!"

The Momma's Boy-Daddy's Girl website recently installed a customized software package that allows shoppers to select a gender (boy/girl) and size (3mo, 6mo, 9mo, etc) and see the inventory that is available in that specific size. No longer does a shopper have to click through page after page of available items--if a shopper knows her daughter will wear a 12mo size smocked dress in the winter, she selects Girls-12mo and the display results will include only those items for girls that are available in the 12mo size. So far, the Momma's Boy-Daddy's Girl staff has received rave reviews of this new capability!
The new warehouse capability plus the special software on the website will allow Momma's Boy-Daddy's Girl to effectively meet the demands of its growing customer base. Of course, shoppers can be online 24/7/365, but the retail store is open Fridays & Saturdays (10am - 2pm).
