Top Producing Franchisee for DIGIKIDS® Child ID Safety Service Chosen to Direct Training and Support

In response to the more than 2,000 missing children reported in the United States each day, DIGIKIDS ® offers a child safety CD that allows parents to quickly provide law enforcement officials, the media, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and other agencies with two high-resolution digital photos along with medical and identifying information to aid in recovery efforts.

Clarks Summit, PA (PRWEB) October 18, 2007 -- Jerry Patrick who with his wife Chris continue to lead one of the top five producing franchisees for DIGIKIDS®, the national child identity safety service, has been named Director of Training and Support for the organization, announced Michael J. Childs, DIGIKIDS® president.

DIGIKIDS® offers a child safety CD that allows parents to quickly provide law enforcement officials, the media, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and other agencies with two high-resolution digital photos along with medical and identifying information to aid in recovery efforts.

"My new role for DIGIKIDS® provides me an opportunity to train and support others in representing this innovative and essential service to help parents leverage technology in protecting their children," Patrick explained.

Offered through schools, preschools, churches, summer camps and other public events, DIGIKIDS® delivers its secure child ID kits on site in two minutes or less. With its patent-pending technology to create each Child Safety CD, DIGIKIDS® offers parents anywhere a secure and efficient tool that can help speed the return of lost or missing children.

"As an experienced programmer, as well as a successful DIGIKIDS® franchisee, Jerry Patrick understands that the safety and security of children requires technical innovation and a skilled corps of representatives. That's why we've enlisted him to undertake this important role for DIGIKIDS®," said Michael Childs.

According to the NCMEC, acting within the first 20 minutes of a child's disappearance is essential. By utilizing DIGIKIDS® business-card-sized CD ROM (easily carried in a wallet, pocket or purse), parents are only moments away from distributing pre-formatted flyers and posters -- complete with high-resolution photos and last-minute details -- anywhere in the world via internet email.

"The electronic delivery to law enforcement officials of a child's digitized photo can save crucial time, since the chances of safely recovering a child are much greater within the first few hours immediately following a child abduction," says John Walsh, founder of the NCMEC (www.NCMEC.org).
