San Diego Contractor Gets Selected For Advanced Home Energy Renovation Project

Morey Plumbing, Heating & Cooling today announced that the company has been selected to participate in the Xtreme Energy Makeover project to take place in San Diego.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) October 18, 2007 -- Morey Plumbing, Heating & Cooling today announced that the company has been selected to participate in the Xtreme Energy Makeover project to take place in San Diego. Xtreme Energy Makeover is made possible through a partnership between project management firm Richard Heath and Associations (RHA) and SDG&E, a Sempra Energy utility. Homeowners Ken and Marie Huff in San Diego, California were selected to receive this groundbreaking renovation.

The "Xtreme Energy Makeover" home will be a showcase of possibilities for pre-Title 24 homes and utilizing the experience gained as an informational tool to educate ratepayers in San Diego Gas & Electric Company's service territory. This is the initial step in providing this program in a more expanded pilot form in the near future. The project is funded through SDG&E with public benefits funds collected from ratepayers and is under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission.

Morey Plumbing, Heating & Cooling will be responsible for implementing energy saving solutions into a 1970, single-family home, two-story, Mediterranean-style house with an attached garage is located in eastern end of San Diego.
