Angelenos Arrive In Droves For Famed Photographer

Celebrities mingle amongst westsiders at the grand opening of Michael Doven's Fine Art Photography Show featuring sculptures by Jule Rotenberg.

Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) October 18, 2007 -- Photographer Michael Doven brought the house - or rather the gallery - down Saturday night when he hosted over a thousand friends, fans and admirers on opening night of his "Iron & Ink" show at Bergamot Station's James Gray Gallery in Santa Monica.

At times the gallery was so populated that one could hardly even breath, but that didn't stop the crowd from negotiating their way in to ogle the awesome offerings displayed by Doven and Rotenberg.

Actresses Anne Archer and Michelle Stafford were also among those paying Doven their respects. "It is such an honor for me to have so many of my friends here tonight," said an elated Doven. "We're all having a blast!"

Doven has been extensively traveling the world since 1977 creating striking and evocative images with his unique eye for composition and substantial knowledge of the medium. His collection - currently featuring an exquisite array of dancers, bodies, motion and form - was shot entirely on local Los Angeles and Malibu beaches and is the subject of his soon-to-be released coffee table book Spirits at Play.

The "Iron & Ink" show runs through November 11, 2007.
