That's too big to even start to think about… but I would guess I'll buy the family business and after that, just play poker. Lots and lots of poker.
Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles (PRWEB) October 18, 2007 -
Two more players who took advantage of the world's best online poker resource, PokerListings.com (http://www.pokerlistings.com), to sign up at poker rooms are about to live out their poker dreams after winning exclusive co-sponsored freerolls this past weekend.
Marc Seguer, a 26-year-old photographer from Barcelona, took down an exclusive 102-player Pacific Poker (http://www.pacificpoker.com/pokerlisting2_en/?sr=931565) and PokerListings freeroll and snagged an $11,000 package, including buy-in and expenses, for the richest poker tournament in the Southern Hemisphere, the 2008 Aussie Millions.
Not to be outdone, Lars Sjölin, a 42-year-old father of three from Katrineholm, Sweden, raked in his own prestigious live event package - worth $13,000, for the European Poker Tour's Dublin event - after outlasting the field at a co-sponsored Gnuf (http://gnuf.com/partner/?track=09c9ba5f43cd3fa269c1f4d66c221cd0&url=pokerlistings) and PokerListings freeroll.
"Another great freeroll weekend," says Camilla Sundell, press secretary at PokerListings.com, "and two more players getting the opportunity of a lifetime on the professional poker circuit.
"Australia, Dublin, Prague, Barcelona… the list keeps growing and we love giving our players the chance to prove their mettle at the felt with the biggest names in poker."
Seguer, who only started playing poker in January 2006, signed up at Pacific Poker through PokerListings and says he hits the action there four or five times a week.
He qualified for the exclusive Aussie Millions freeroll by collecting just 25 comp points from Sept. 7-Oct. 7, and says he is extremely happy with both his prize and his play.
"I played good poker and had luck in the right moments," Seguer says. "I'm particularly happy about starting the final table ninth in chips, but being able to get to the top and win.
"Probably my best tournament ever. Now I'm thinking about the Aussie Millions. That will be a great experience for me and I am very excited."
Seguer added he was equally impressed with PokerListings.com and Pacific Poker.
"Your reviews are the best you can find on the Internet, and you also have very good promotions for your players. I cashed out two times in the $5,000 monthly freerolls as well, so I am very happy and if I open accounts with new poker rooms in the future it will definitely be through PokerListings.
"Pacific is also one of my favorite poker rooms. Lots of tables, fast action and in general more loose players than other sites. Plus fast and sure cashouts."
Equally pleased with his win, the prize package and the action at Gnuf is Sjölin.
"I play at Gnuf five or six times every week." he says. "The players are right up my alley and the variety of games is also very good. There are plenty of tournaments and the cash tables are always easy to access and frequently full.
"I visit PokerListings a couple of times every week at least," he added, "to keep me up to date. Every time I need some good info on a poker site or just info in general... it's a great resource for any poker player looking for places to win."
Both Seguer and Sjölin are excited to hit the felt with the world's top pros - and make a bit of a vacation out of the experience as well - but feel they can hold their own all the same.
"Am I nervous to play the world's top pros? No. Excited? Yes. For every one of them.
It's an honor to sit and play with them and I'll enjoy every last minute of it."
And if everything comes together and he takes down the whole event?
"First...? [I'd] probably black out," he says with a smile. "That's too big to even start to think about… but I would guess I'll buy the family business and after that, just play poker. Lots and lots of poker."
