Cytiva Software Inc. (CRX:TSX.V), a leading provider of on-demand talent management software solutions, announced today that world renown Vancouver Aquarium selected SonicRecruit to power its talent acquisition efforts.

Vancouver Aquarium is the fifth largest aquarium in North America, hosting nearly 1 million visitors annually for its 154 aquatic displays.

"Vancouver Aquarium is a prime example of a mid-sized employer whose needs aren’t met by less configurable, low end ATS solutions," said Jason Moreau, CEO of Cytiva. "They are one of a growing number of organizations that have selected SonicRecruit for Fortune 500-caliber recruiting solutions and service without the typical huge price."

As a highly visible organization, and a desirable employer in British Columbia, Vancouver Aquarium receives a large number of resumes each month. No longer able to manage the flow of resumes through conventional means, Vancouver Aquarium set out to find technology to automate the sourcing, screening and hiring of great employees.

The 50-plus year old organization looks forward to increasing manager participation in the hiring process and stimulating employee referrals to help their recruiting efforts in a tight labour market. The SonicRecruit deal includes customized Internet and Intranet career sites, manager self-service and automated employee referral program.

"We looked at other systems," says Andrew Martin, vice president of human resources for Vancouver Aquarium. "SonicRecruit was robust, affordable and the company really wanted to partner with us to make the implementation successful."
