View the Street Before Moving There

For sale by owner listings go with street level photos.

Miami Beach, FL (PRWEB) October 21, 2007 -- Ever felt like you wished you knew more about your street before moving there? Fizber.com new service hopes to answer that need by displaying street photos next to a property listing.

Fizber.com, a for-sale-by-owner website, gives home buyers street maps, hybrid views, and even satellite photos of a neighborhood. Now, Fizber.com has launched a new feature that allows home buyers and renters get a more complete picture of where they could live (to check out the new feature, please visit http://www.fizber.com/216590.

Home buyers now want to see more than just the front of the house. Buyers also want to get a look at the street the house is situated in. Street photographs are powerful bait. Good ones can encourage buyers to visit the home; bad ones can turn them away.

"Without a street picture I am much less likely to go see a house," says FSBO house hunter Barbara K., of Miami Beach, FL. "It's nice to be able to actually see the neighborhood and not just know the statistics of the house." In most cases online photos of homes and streets are her first view of a home, she says, adding that poor pictures tend to turn her away.

These days, a street photo in online listings is very important. Eighty percent of home buyers used the Internet last year to search for a home, and nearly 25% reported that they first found the property they purchased on the Internet, according to a National Association of Realtors survey.

"When I was looking for a house last week my biggest disappointment was the streets that were not very appealing," complained home buyer Judy K. "I usually judge a house by what it looks like outside and by the street. That's a pretty good indicator of what's going on inside. But there was a ton of filthy litter bugs everywhere. The filthiest street I have ever seen. I did regret I haven't bothered to look the street photos online before visiting the house. I could have saved time for playing with grandkids."

"Street photos drive buyers' picks," explained Fizber.com PR manager Julia Foster. "It's especially helpful for our out of town clients. You'll see much more than the usual internet map. What's the street corner like, the surrounding area. It's an actual photo of the street the house is located at."
