The Collaborative Communications Summit (CCS), best known for its Health IT conference - Transforming Healthcare through Health Information Technology, is launching the Inaugural Health IT Investment Forum in September 2008, in New York City.

The 2008 CCS HIT Investment Forum is designed to bring together leading investors, market leaders, and high-growth companies, from across the finance and healthcare industries, focused on health IT. While other industries have embraced information technology as a cornerstone of their business process, healthcare has traditionally remained a laggard. In recent years, this trend has reversed and there now exists a myriad of investment opportunities in the health IT industry.

Building on the successful CCS events of the last four years, this Forum looks to address the needs of the healthcare venture and entrepreneurial communities by bringing together over 150 investors, entrepreneurs, CEOs, CFOs, Senior and Executive Vice Presidents, Managing Directors and Analysts. Previously, no forum has brought together a dynamic compilation of leaders from the top investors, institutions and companies that manage health information technology assets operating in multiple financial and regulatory markets and investing in technologies across this sector. This two-day conference will provide the arena for investors and health IT leaders to discover the latest trends and investment opportunities.

"As information technology is poised to transform the healthcare community in the coming years, the demand for HIT will present many new market opportunities creating the need for increased cooperation amongst IT providers and investment bankers", said Waco Hoover, President of the CCS. "We're thrilled to provide another unique and valuable platform that can continue fostering improved care and growth in the healthcare space."

In addition to leading investors sharing strategies and perspectives, a company showcase focused on foreign, venture capital-backed healthcare start-ups will be highlighted at the Forum.

To coincide with the Health IT Investment Forum, the CCS is creating the HIT Investment Digest, which will be a comprehensive quarterly newsletter and online portal targeted at the investor and healthcare communities.

The newsletters will be arranged to provide accurate and timely financial data to CEOs, CFOs, Senior and Executive Vice Presidents, Managing Directors and Analysts from the Investor, Venture Capital, Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisition sectors. Sections of the newsletter include: Valuation Data - on public trading values, middle market M&A transaction values and middle market M&A transaction summaries; Data Spotlight; Insights; In the News; and The Rumor Mill.
