Fantastically evocative -- remarkable vocals and delightful melodies. The energy of the rock anthem 'Pray' bursts through the speakers, instantly making an impact.

When you're in a war zone on the other side of the world even the atheists amongst us might find ourselves praying to God. Inspired by the true story of John Simpson, the BBC World Affairs Editor who was accompanying a convoy of US Special Forces and Kurdish fighters when they were mistakenly bombed by a US airplane in 2003 during the course of the war in Iraq, rock band ANEMO, led by charismatic lead singer Hazelle Woodhurst, is roaring back into action with a new single "Pray" released nationally in the U.K. on October 15 with a simultaneous digital release in the U.S. and Canada. Emotional, powerful and passionate, "Pray" is a rock anthem bursting with energy and melody which raises questions about war, morality and sacrifice-- and captures the horror of deadly combat with its gut- wrenching fear and surging flood of adrenaline in a way in which it has never been explored before. The early reviews for this remarkable song are in and they are stunningly good,
"'Pray" is contemporary rock music at its most compelling; not only do ANEMO absolutely nail the song, they hit the spot with their words about conflict, morality and sacrifice. So, 'Pray' has a message but it's also a great piece of modern rock music that once again finds ANEMO in fine form. Superb female vocals, distorted bass, punctuative drums and crashing guitar chords are gloriously pulled together to form an impressive, 'big' but not 'brash' sound. 'Pray' has anthemic qualities and certainly with the songs' topic ANEMO may have penned a timeless venue rattler that I can see them reproducing in the live scenario for a while to come. Two versions of 'Pray' are included here, the second, 'Pray (Ropey Remix)' showing that ANEMO are not pure rocksters and know how to reach out to the dance fraternity too."--Peter J. Brown--Toxic Peter (UK).

"If you like your music to rock, admire poignant lyrics and want a song that gets into your head, look no further than 'Pray'- once played, never forgotten, and all the better for being played at full whack. The message is clear and the music highly addictive. Watch out for the introduction that is reminiscent of the Sisters of Mercy and listen to the Ropey Remix too - class!"--From Bump to Grump (UK).
"Pray" will be a featured single on ANEMO's as yet untitled second album on the City Canyons Record label to be released in early 2008. It follows the bands first album, "slowburn". which received critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic. "Pray" is now available at HMV in the U.K. and at CD Baby. "Pray" may also be digitally downloaded at APPLE iTUNES and Tarnius Music and CD Baby. You can also get "Pray" at the City Canyons Records Online Store at the official City Canyons Records website.
