Trip to Estate Auction Near Columbus Ohio Turns $300 Investment into $6-8,000
Where in the world did Estate Road Show go to find two art treasures?
Charleston, SC (PRWEB) October 24, 2007 -- "Attending estate auctions is our business", commented Michael Whelchel the buyer for Estate Road Show.com, "but finding treasures is always a welcome surprise"! A trip to an estate auction in the Midwest seemed uneventful until the items purchased received a phone call from researcher Ann Valverde. "Paperwork written in Italian on one painting uncovered that it was an important work of art exhibited at the Seconda Quadriennale d''Arte Nazionale Roma in 1935, a prestigious invitation only exhibit", stated Ann Valverde, researcher with Estate Road Show." The second one was from noted French artist Francois Gerome. A French painter born in Paris in 1895, he is most well-known for his paintings of women depicted at picturesque spots throughout Paris. Not a bad purchase for a total of $300.
"This proves that attending estate auctions today can be very profitable if you do your homework and keep your eyes open", commented John Scherz, head of research for Estate Road Show.
Estate Road Show travels all over the country to find treasures, antiques, glass and pottery for its monthly live auctions held in Charleston SC. Customers of Estate Road Show are sometimes allowed to privately bid on items as we travel before they move to the live auction, but they must act quickly and be signed up. Estate Road Show caters to collectors, dealers with in-house shipping (affordable) and uses the state of art technology offered by AuctionFloor.com to simulcast auction events all over the world connecting to servers at eBayLiveAuctions.com and AuctionZip.com. Normally an auction event is sold 70% to bidders from eBayLive and AuctionZip with the remainder selling to phone or floor bidders. "Advanced bidder technology and attention to photos, details, research, guarantees and fair shipping is the main reason online bidders trust us", said Michael Cherney, head of marketing for Estate Road Show.
