Orem, UT (PRWEB) October 25, 2007
Doba, a leader in online product sourcing solutions for small to medium size online retailers, is ranked 6th on Deloitte's 2007 Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies in North America. Rankings are based on percentage of fiscal year revenue growth over five years. From 2002-2006, Doba grew 16,541%.
Doba's co-founder and Chairman of the Board, Jeremy Hanks, credits his company's team of dedicated employees and evolving product sourcing solutions with the company's phenomenal revenue growth over the past five years.
"Whenever we receive recognition like this, it is a strong reminder of the important role Doba plays in the supply chain between manufacturer, supplier, and retailer," said Hanks. "Part of the reason we continue to experience such explosive growth is because of our strong commitment to restoring competitive balance and sensibility in a space once dominated by big box chains. When aggregated, small to medium size independent online retailers, especially those who cater to niche markets, are starting to win out over their larger competitors. When it comes to serving the SMB retailer's product souring-related needs, no one does a better job than Doba."
Overall, companies on the 2007 Technology Fast 500 had growth rates from 253% to 79,060% over 5 years, with an average growth rate of 1,823%.
"Sustaining high revenue growth over five years is an exceptional accomplishment," said Phil Asmundson, vice chairman, U.S. Technology, Media and Telecommunications, Deloitte & Touche USA LLP. "We are proud to honor Doba with a ranking on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list."
Fast 500 Selection and Qualifying Criteria
The Fast 500 ranks the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies in North America. It is compiled from Deloitte's 16 regional North American Fast 50 programs, nominations submitted directly to the Fast 500, and public company database research.
Entrants must own proprietary intellectual property or proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues or devote a significant proportion of revenues to research and development of technology. Using other companies' technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not qualify. Base-year operating revenues must be at least $50,000 USD or $75,000 CD, and current-year operating revenues must be at least $5 million USD or CD.
