Transcensus Receives Performance Centered Design Award

SHO Guide™ product recognized for innovation in the advancement of job performance and software competency.

Orem, UT (PRWEB) October 25, 2007 -- Transcensus, a company developing solutions that will influence every market segment that relies upon software as a critical component of its operational strategy, has been recognized as a recipient of the 2007 Performance Centered Design (PCD) Award. The company's SHO Guide product was selected in the Extraordinary PCD Tool category, one of only four products to receive the distinction.

SHO Guide is an advanced authoring solution that allows subject matter experts, managers, software trainers and IT professionals to create, without any programming knowledge, job assistance and performance support content that interacts directly with live software applications to guide employees and software users through the proper execution of software procedures. An easy-to-use recording feature captures important software procedures as they are performed in real time and converts them into fully-interactive, step-by-step instructions in multiple languages simultaneously.

The PCD Awards, now in their tenth year, are presented annually by EPSScentral LLC, the leading worldwide provider of electronic performance support systems (EPSS) and performance centered design methods. The awards recognize technologies and systems that make a measurable difference in enhancing human performance and employee competency.

This year's awards were presented at the Training Tech Solutions Conference and Expo in Salt Lake City, Utah. As part of the awards recognition ceremony, Transcensus demonstrated the power of the SHO Guide solution before a live audience. By simply clicking the "record" button and completing a procedure in a software application, the demonstrator captured and published, in less than five minutes, a performance support resource complete with in-application, step-by-step guidance and video introduction that could be used to guide anyone through the same procedure on his or her own computer.

"We are honored to receive this distinguished award," says David Adkins, CEO of Transcensus. "The ultimate goal of any training program is to improve worker performance. However, many are coming to realize that learning is much more than just a single event--it is an ongoing experience. This recognition by our peers in the PCD and EPSS communities is further validation of the value of our SHO technology to organizations that are grappling with these complex issues and that are looking for ways to support worker performance beyond what is offered by the traditional classroom or e-learning experience."
