Mesawasteservices.com (http://www.mesawasteservices.com) has launched an innovative, user-friendly web site from which customers seeking California portable toilet rental services can review company profiles and request multiple quotes by simply selecting the appropriate city. At a mere $10 per city, the site allows portable restroom service providers to control the cities under which the customer's search will find them. In addition to its ease of use, the site provides ample space for service providers to market themselves to customers with varying and specific requirements. This is particularly relevant in California, which is home to a wide range portable sanitation customers, from the US Forest Service, the US military, the US Department of Transportation, to the oil industry, the construction industry, utility companies, disaster response teams, and local sponsored street fairs and events, school districts, park districts, campgrounds, golf courses, dude ranches, rock concert venues, sports venues, racetracks, marinas, caterers, wedding planners - the list is virtually endless.
As with most industries, portable toilet customers increasingly use the internet to locate California portable restroom companies. Unfortunately, the prohibitive cost of developing a web presence has resulted in severe underrepresentation of many existing small and medium sized companies. Mesawasteservices.com bridges that gap. Service providers can now do away with web site development completely while offering industry guideline information and providing helpful links to related informational sites. The customer benefits from a larger vendor pool that is truly representative of the portable sanitation industry.
This restroom rental web site is the brainchild of three individuals, Todd Shell (yes, that Todd Shell, retired Outside Linebacker for the 49ers with 2 Superbowl rings to prove it), Jay James (who bought his first 60 units at the tender age of 18), and Sharon Larry (who is yet to find two porta potty companies with the same business model). Their combined industry experience provides a strong foundation from which to offer services that address the needs of the portable restroom rental industry.
Jay James grew up in the septic pumping industry. At 18, he went into business for himself. He enjoys a solid reputation for his extensive knowledge about the sanitation industry and his quality of service. Jay's insistence on finding strategies to minimize the high cost of advertising was the catalyst for the discussions leading to development of the web site. He is looking forward to getting feedback from companies that increase sales while decreasing advertising costs. In Jay's eye, it will be "poetic justice for the little guy".
20 years ago, Sharon Larry could not have imagined that she would find her niche in the portable toilet industry. She cut her teeth in the Bay Area where she was required to accompany the San Francisco route driver for one shift. She learned more in that eight hours of riding up and down the hills throughout the city than she ever could have sitting behind her desk. In one fell swoop, she developed an unwavering respect for those individuals with the stomach to do the work. In recent years, as an industry consultant, she has had the opportunity to see first-hand the operations of a variety of portable restroom companies throughout the country. This has provided her with a unique perspective on various challenges facing the portable sanitation industry as a whole.
Todd Shell is a newcomer to the portable sanitation industry. In 1984, he was #1 draft choice (24th player selected overall) for the San Francisco 49ers. Forced into early retirement by a neck injury, Todd discovered the skill set he acquired as a professional football player could be successfully applied to the business world. He spent a number of years raising capital for various wall street based investment groups. His love of the game, however, brought him out of retirement to become Head Coach for the New York Dragons. In 2003, he was named Arena Football League Coach of the Year. Last year, however, as happens with many people, when he stumbled upon this industry he was immediately intrigued by the impact his leadership skills and business management acumen could have on a portable toilet business.
Mesa Waste fully expects its web site to open up new income streams for thousands of portable toilet companies across the country. The company is currently focusing on getting the word out in California. For those asking the question, "Why should my company advertise with Mesa Waste Services?" Because increased web presence equals increased sales - period.
