SVSi Announces Release of ProStream

New ProStream™ Digital Video Recording Software for Multiple Networked Cameras

Madison, AL (PRWEB) October 27, 2007 -- SVSi announces the release of ProStream, a software package for recording digital video from multiple camera sources at once. Fully compatible with the Prosilica line of high performance gigabit Ethernet cameras, ProStream is capable of recording uncompressed video from up to 4 VGA cameras each running at 200 frames-per-second or up to 10 VGA cameras running at 30 frames-per-second. Record digital video to laptop RAM or to a dedicated disk array for hours on end with ProStream's user-friendly graphical interface.

ProStream is designed for integrators or end-users building digital video recording systems with off-the-shelf components.    By incorporating camera control, digital video recording, and slow-motion playback into one easy-to-use software package, cost-competitive systems can be assembled with a minimum of engineering effort. SVSi can also deliver a fully tested multi-camera turn-key system operating to your specifications. Some key software features are:

- Text overlay of video with capture parameters
- External, internal, or frame-synch trigger options
- Event marker tags a specific frame upon input during long-term video streaming
- Record from remote or local cameras
- Fully compatible with all Prosilica gigabit Ethernet cameras
- Record to laptop RAM or workstation disk array
- Store images (bmp, jpg, tiff, png, raw) or video (uncompressed AVI or raw)
- No additional plug-in modules required

Intended for non-technical users, ProStream software allows for quick and easy setup of one or more cameras with slow-motion synchronized playback for detailed time and motion analysis. For trouble-shooting applications, digital video solutions are available with frame-rates up to 200-frames-per-second and resolutions up to 16-Megapixels. Standard software features include drop-down menus for all recording parameters, an easy-to-see focus indicator, intuitive VCR controls for Play/Fast-Forward/Reverse/Pause, real-time auto-exposure, and manual color correction.

ProStream's Network Configuration Utility is included free in each software license and manages multiple networked cameras. By detecting all cameras through auto-discovery, setting the IP address, and providing connection status, the Network Configuration Utility takes all the guesswork out of coordinating video from multiple camera sources. Common network appliances such as switches, hubs, and routers can be used over a local-area-network at distances up to 100-m between camera and appliance. When network traffic is heavy, ProStream provides a real-time report of the number of dropped frames from any camera on the network as an indicator of system performance.

ProStream is the most cost-effective streaming software on the market with a single-camera license priced at $110 and a multi-camera (unlimited) license selling for $950.
